Background

In October 2023, L'Oréal acquired Skinbetter to establish it as a leading name in the high-end beauty space. To align with this ambition, Skinbetter’s brand needed a bold refresh that reflected the innovation behind its products while resonating with its target audience. As the Lead Designer, I played a key role in bringing this transformation to life, crafting a refined visual identity that elevated the brand’s presence in the luxury beauty market.

Soloution

At the heart of the brand refresh was an extensive brand guidelines document that I created. This served as the foundation for Skinbetter’s new identity, built around a refined interpretation of the brand’s signature double pluses from the original logo. Establishing clear usage guidelines for this key visual element ensured consistency and recognition across all touchpoints. In addition, the refresh introduced a sophisticated new colour palette, modern typography, and elevated photography—bringing Skinbetter’s visual identity in line with its position in the luxury beauty space.
